Quick sum up:
- The Giants won
- They showed good perseverance and actually improved their play at the end end in order to bring home the victory
- Pretty much... everything else.
I'll take the victory - anything in the W column is a good thing - but damn, that couldn't have been more ugly in the first three quarters. The Giants looked like a high school team against the Eagles. Thank God for the Eagles inability to capitalize and put them away. I guess the one good thing you can say about the completely inept play from the Giants in the beginning is that the Eagles stopped taking them seriously - they were joking around and goofing off and the Giants then took advantage of it and beat them. But really... while lulling your opponent into a false sense of confidence by appearing completely incompetent for 3/4 of the game is an interesting strategy, I prefer another alternative, i.e., crushing your opponent into the turf.
Oy. On to Seattle... time for revenge.
