I have to say, I really love going out and BBQ'ing, it's one of the things I'm going to miss as the weather turns colder. Standing around the fire, flipping burgers, chatting with friends, with a cold drink in hand - these are good times. Anyways, here are some photos of the food.
I made grilled chicken, burgers and hotdogs. I also baked some potatoes on the grill, and grilled onions and tomatoes and eggplants. (It wasn't all meat - just mostly meat. ;) ) I use charcoal briquettes, but without using lighter fluid, and I mix in some chunks of mesquite for flavor. It's a great, simple flavor that just works so well on a summer evening. I still smell like smoke and meat. Man, I love the summer.
Anyways, here are the pics (as usual, click on a photo to enlarge):
Sorry about the quality of some of the pics - I took these while manning the BBQ (and in one case while eating) so it was a bit of a juggling act.
And one bonus shot: I got a little too close to a flare-up, and lost some of the hair on my right arm. No worries, there was no permanent damage. ;)
