"President Bush - who visited all three crash sites last year - sent Vice President Dick Cheney to New York, but Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg asked that Mr. Cheney not attend the ceremony at ground zero, because his security needs would have inconvenienced the families of the victims. Instead, Mr. Cheney attended an interfaith service at Riverside Church later in the day commemorating 84 Port Authority of New York and New Jersey workers who died. The vice president, who sat between Gov. George E. Pataki of New York and Gov. James E. McGreevey of New Jersey, did not address the congregation. On his way to the church, he had stopped to chat with firefighters at Rescue 1 on West 43rd Street between 10th and 11th Avenues."
I can't tell you how happy that makes me. The president, the veep, they don't deserve to be there. They were scurrying and ducking for cover while our city was under attack, and afterwards they did their best to prevent local New Yorkers from even helping out, and they can go fuck themselves as far as I'm concerned. Bush showed he doesn't even give enough of a crap to visit NYC yesterday, which is fine with me, because as far as I'm concerned, he and his flunkies can STAY THE FUCK OUT OF IT. They didn't get involved 2 years ago, and they should keep that trend going.
Stay out of our city, you shits. Mr. Bloomberg, thank you, you just earned some major points with me.
