Just got back from the dentist. It's the first time I went in over 10 years, so he had a lot of cleaning to do. In some ways it was worse than I expected, in some ways better. The pain wasn't much, but it hit in places I'm not used to it hitting in, like a bunch of sudden sharp toothaches, so that was a bit odd. He also slipped a couple of times and stabbed me in the gums - no damage, but a bit of pain there. But now it's all better, the pain was momentary, and other than a taste of blood lingering in my mouth it's all nice and clean and whatever.
It looks like I've got around 3 cavities, and he'll work on those next week. Regarding the pain from my lower-left wisdom tooth, he said I could either have the excess gum cut away or just extract the tooth. He said he'd personally get the gum cut away, but that the only 100% guarantee is to have it extracted. I said if he thought it was better, I'd get the gum cut away.
