Mailing lists

The thing I hate most about mailing lists is that there are always a few idiots on them who are totally incompetent and near-illiterate who think that it's appropriate to spam the entire list rather than just unsubscribe themselves.

Like this schmuck:

(I left in the relevant instruction block, which is included in the very email he replied to, so you'd see how bloody stupid he (or she, to be fair) is.)

Being the patient, helpful, and idiot-tolerant fellow that I am, I replied thusly:

Here's a wild and crazy idea: unsubscribe your own damn self.

I'm assuming that since you can read the emails and reply to them that
you're not illiterate, so just follow the link shown in every single
email and unsub yourself.

P.S. I'm in no related to the management of the list, I'm just one of
the subscribers who had to read your stupid email because you sent it to
the whole list.
