Wow, I had no idea people still even played hockey. But yeah, apparently they do, and apparently the entire season was just canceled. Funny. They apparently already missed 126 days worth of games this season, and decided that at this point it just wasn't worth trying to play the second half, assuming they can even come to an agreement w/ the salary disputes.
Just got back from the Valentine's Day Concert at the school. J (the older one) performed in it.
The entire thing, this time around, was choral. First the 3rd grade did a short set, then the 4th, then 5th, and then finally a large group comprising what looked like most of the 4th and 5th graders.
It was pretty nice - and pretty short, which is good. (At their last school, the concerts dragged on forever - hours, literally, by the end of which everyone was tired and grumpy and sick of it. Here they keep them to about an hour - long enough for everyone to do their thing, but short enough to keep it pleasant.) This time around the choral teacher tried to get fancier, and it fell a little flat - they just didn't have enough practice to handle the harmonizing. When they all were singing the same note, though, they did well. The final song was Imagine, and they signed the words (or I assume it was sign language, anyways) as they sung it, which was cute.
All in all, pleasant. I took videos, not pics, so not much else to post. (My dad took some stills, and I may post some of his later.)
