Bloomberg does something right

Mike uninvited Ohio Rep. Bob Ney from a RNCC lunch that he was hosting at this home. Why? Because Bob Ney voted against the funding for NYC that he and every other politician pledged to send our way after 9/11. Good for you, Mike.

In an amusing note, when asked to play softball at City Hall by City Council Members, he replied "I have to work for a living. I don't have time for that crap." Heh.

Finally, in a story that really amuses me, and doesn't disturb me at all, the Port Authority has decided to round up 495 rogue geese, cook them, and feed them to needy families. Here: http://www.gothamist.com/archives/2004/06/22/geese_get_cooked.php Of course, I'm assuming that they'll be checking them for toxins and such. Or maybe it's a dual-pronged plan to reduce the geese population and the homeless population all at once... hmm...

I dislike a lot of what Bloomberg has done, but I will give him credit for something: he's starting to act like a real New Yorker, for better or for worse.
